Camino Português
Vegan Tour of the Portuguese Way of St. James
Walking the Camino Português : An Unforgettable Journey
This vegan hiking tour takes you along the scenic and sacred Way of St. James—the Camino de Santiago. The Camino Francés might be the most popular (and crowded) route, but here at Hiking Biking Vegan, we prefer to take the path less traveled. The Camino Português is less crowded, more scenic, and equally awe-inspiring.
The Portuguese Way stretches 390 miles (629 km) from Lisbon to Santiago. As it winds its way north through Portugal and into Galicia, the route splits in two, with one path hugging the coast and the other traversing inland valleys. Hiking Biking Vegan offers an 8-day tour of the more direct inland route, in which hikers complete the final 62 miles (100 km) from Tui to Santiago. We also offer a 14-day tour of the coastal route, which features 100 miles (160 km) of hiking from A Guarda to Santiago. Hikers on both tours will receive an official Compostela Certificate.
